Why don’t dinosaurs live anymore?
Dinosaurs used to live on the Earth but then 65 million years ago, they were extinct. Yes, this sounds like an awfully long time, isn’t it! When we say extinct, it means they stopped living. Nobody knows for sure why dinosaurs were extinct but scientists have some interesting guesses to what might have happened so many years ago.
Meteor: Some scientists believe that a meteor might have crashed into Earth, causing lots of dust and heat. The dust may have blocked the sunlight for so long that many plants and animals, including dinosaurs, did not survive.
Volcanic Eruption: there are some scientists who think that a huge volcano eruption or a big earthquake created some changes in the environment at the time dinosaurs lived. The dinosaurs could not live in the new environment and die.
Meteor:A small body of matter from outer space that enters the earth’s atmosphere, becoming incandescent as a result of friction and appearing as a streak of light.
