What do we know about Venus from spacecraft landing?
Venus has proved very unfriendly for spacecraft landings. It is a very hot planet as it is the second planet from the Sun. Though some lenders have managed to land on the planets, they were able to send us information for a very short time as the high temperature and pressure of venus melted and crushed the landers.
Scientists have also sent some space shuttles to orbit around Venus which have sent some space shuttles to orbit venus which has sent some important information. For example. the surface of Venus has more than 1,000 volcanoes. It is also called Earth’s twin as Earth and Venus are very simple is size.
Well, even before scientists explored Venus through satellites and spacecraft, we have long known Venus as the second brightest object in the night sky next only to the Moon. It is because it is the closest object to Earth besides the Moon. It’s a visible a couple of hours before sunrise and after sunset. Many years ago, people used to think that venus was two different starts but it was the Greek mathematician Pythagoras who discovered that the brightest stars in the morning and evening sky were in fact the same object, Venus. That is why it is also known as the morning Start and the Evening Star.
