What do astronauts eat in space?
If an astronaut drops his burger, it will float in the air. And if his water spills, the water will not fall into the cup. It will float in the air! If water floats in the air, you know it can damage the spacecraft. So how do they manage to eat in space where there is no gravity?
Astronauts need a good dose of vitamins to stay active and alert while living in space. Earlier, astronauts ate food packed in the form of a toothpaste. They squeezed food like apple sauce into their mouth. Then later the new method was to dry the food, suck out the water and then pack. But this was not the kind of food astronauts would enjoy eating. A lot of effort was made to design ways to serve better food in space. In 1970, a special warm tray was invented to keep the food warm.
