I have heard of fossils, But what are fossil fuels?
What do you imagine when you think of fossils? Perhaps the first thing that comes to our mind is the bones of prehistoric animals that used to live on the Earth some millions of years ago. Over a period of time, the remains of these animals and also plants were converted with many layers of mud, dirt, and rocks. These layers created to hear and exerted pressure over these dead parts, converting them into fossil fuel.
Fossils fuel are buried very deep under the earth and sometimes even under the ocean floors. Scientists and engineers explore areas around the world to find out sites rich in fossil fuel. They have special instruments and devices that help them study rock samples from an area. It gives them some reading and tells them if the site has fossil fuels and is good to drill. engineers drill down with a special machines to collect this fuel.
